Share Market HIGHLIGHTS | ITC, HDFC Life, Bajaj Finserv among the top gainers in the Nifty basket

ITC, HDFC Life, Bajaj Finserv and Kotak Bank are among the top gainers in the Nifty basket, trading with gains of around 2-1 per cent. On the other hand, Hindalco, Adani Enterprises, Tata Steel and Tech Mahindra are among the top losers, down around 2-1 per cent.

Share Market Today LIVE | Sensex, Nifty on track to close higher for fourth session in a row

Both headline indices are holding on to the green, with a gain of 0.2 per cent each, 30 minutes before the closing bell. The Sensex is up 120.6 points at 62,966.9 and the Nifty at 18,635.1, up 36.4 points from its previous close.

Aurobindo Pharma Ltd, NSE: AUROPHARMA shares are up 6 per cent at Rs 647.9 or Rs 36.6, days after the pharma company announced its Q4 results. 

Should you buy, sell or hold? 

Goldman Sachs has maintained a buy call on Aurobindo Pharma and has raised its target price to Rs 680 from Rs 610. "Strong commentary hints near term tailwinds," the brokerage in its report said. Moreover, Citi has maintained a buy call with a target price of Rs 660.

Titan shares give up most of day's gains, off 52-week high

The Tata group company's stock is left with a gain of 0.1 per cent at Rs 2,812.5 apiece on BSE.

Earlier in the day, Titan shares crossed Rs 2,820.1 to scale a fresh 52-week high of Rs 2,840.6 apiece on the bourse. 

Mawana Sugars Q4 Results | PAT rises to Rs 52 crore from Rs 31 crore a year ago

Mawana Sugars reports Rs 350 crore in consolidated revenue for the quarter ended March 2023, as against Rs 294 crore for the corresponding period a year ago. The company's margin improves to 23.2 per cent from 20.9 per cent a year ago.

The sugar maker's stock jumps as much as seven per cent to Rs 99.4 apiece after the earnings announcement.

V-Guard Q4 Results | Net profit at Rs 53 crore vs Rs 90 crore a year ago

The company reports consolidated revenue of Rs 1,140 crore, as against Rs 1,059 crore for the corresponding period a year ago. 

V-Guard's operating profit comes in at Rs 99 crore, marking a decline of 12.4 per cent on a year-on-year basis. 

V-Guard shares slip into the red after the earnings announcement. The stock falls as much as 3.1 per cent to Rs 241.4 apiece on BSE, having risen to as high as Rs 254.1 apiece earlier in the day.

Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) shares trade flat on Tuesday, a day after the company reported a mixed set of financial results or the quarter ended March 2023. The counter quotes Rs 648.05, up 0.36 per cent or Rs 2.3.

RBI Governor flags innovative ways to conceal real status of stressed loans at some banks: Key takeaways

RBI Governor Shaktikanta Das said on Monday that the central bank has come across instances of some lenders trying to conceal the real status of their stressed assets.

"During the course of our supervisory process, certain instances of using innovative ways to conceal the real status of stressed loans have also come to our notice," said the RBI Governor, without naming any bank.

He also mentioned governance gaps at certain banks that have come to the notice of the RBI, speaking at a conference with directors of private sector lenders in Mumbai.
