The company is doing this by launching Android One operating system with the Xiaomi Mi A1 smartphone launched on Tuesday.

Xiaomi has become one of the leading smartphone brands in India and has managed to capture a large market share in just few years of its entrance into the country. In fact, Xiaomi has jumped to second place in terms of smartphone shipments in India this year and has 13% market share in Q1 2017.
