Sensex up 134 points; Small Cap rallies by 120 pts

Asian markets finished broadly higher with shares in China leading the region. The Shanghai Composite is up 1.91% while Hong Kong's Hang Seng is up 1.27% and Japan's Nikkei 225 is up 0.60%.

Nifty ended  at 8,370.70 up 42.35 points with 32 advances and 19 declines. Bharat Heavy Electrical Limited was among the top gainer at Rs. 138 up 4.51%. 

On Monday trading session, Sensex ended above 134 points at 27,278.76. It opened at 27,314.44 higher from its previous closing of 27,144.91. Overall the index was positive with 18 advances and 12 declines. Total turnover was at Rs. 297.05 crore with volume of 6,494,342. Among the volume toppers were Tata Motors and State Bank of India by recording turnover of Rs. 38.03 crore and Rs. 37.69 crore respectively. 

Commodity Roud Up 

The rupee flat at 67.220 up 0.05% against dollar. 

At 13.26 pm, Sensex was trading above 169 points at 27,314.39. While NSE was trading at 8,377.60 up 49.25 points. 

Shares in Hong Kong are higher as the Hang Seng gains 1.22%. The stock markets in Tokyo and Shanghai are closed at this time.

European markets are mixed today. The FTSE 100 is up 0.17% while the CAC 40 gains 0.10%. The DAX is off 0.09%.

Market movers were the major reason to take Sensex above 200 points. IT stocks too gained relaxing its Brexit fear. Tata Motors at Rs. 472.75 up 3.24%, ICICI Bank at Rs. 246.10 surging by 2.37%, State Bank of India at Rs. 223.85 jumps 2%. The IT-giant Infosys too rallied on exchange by above 1.70% at Rs. 1,192.05. Reliance Industries, Larsen & Tourbo, Tata Steel , Sun Pharma and Coal India were trading between the range of 1%-1.60%. 

BSE's overall market breadth was positive as 1,512 stocks were advancing while 491 were declining. 

All banking stocks were in green. Bank Nifty soared by 102 points at 18,087.50. 

Nifty was trading at 8,383.95 up 56 points on Monday morning trading session. The index was positive with 47 advances and 4 declines. 

Sensex opened 180 points above at 27,334.16. The stock index opened at 27,314.44 nearly 160 points above its previous closing of 27144.91. ONGC was top gainer at Rs. 232.35 surging by 3.57%. The index sentiments were positive with 28 advances and 2 declines. 

Mix Global cues, SGX Nifty up 

Rupee opened at 67.250 above 0.09% or 0.060 paise. 

Asian markets are higher today as Chinese and Hong Kong shares show gains. The Shanghai Composite is up 1.16% while the Hang Seng is up 1.53%. The Nikkei 225 is not trading.
