Bengaluru airport to be partially closed for 10 days in February: Check dates, timings, flight schedule, passenger advisory, other details

Bengaluru Airport Closed: The airport authorities have issued an advisory for passengers which enlisted the timing of rehearsals and ceremonies for the 14th edition of Aero India, due to which the civil airspace will remain shut for a few hours every day.

Bengaluru Airport Closed: In view of the upcoming Aero India Show 2023, Bengaluru's Kempegowda International Airport will be partially closed for 10 days from February 8 to February 17. The KIA made the announcement on Tuesday, February 7.

The airport authorities have issued an advisory for passengers which enlisted the timing of rehearsals and ceremonies for the 14th edition of Aero India, due to which the civil airspace will remain shut for a few hours every day.

According to the official notice, Aero India-2023 is being organised in Bengaluru from February 13 to February 17. However, commercial flight operations will be disrupted from February 8 onwards.

February 8 and 11
Commercial flight operations will be shut between 9:00 am to 12:00 pm and from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm for the rehearsal of Aero Show 2023.
February 12
Flight operations will be shut between 9:00 am to 12:00 pm for the rehearsal purpose.
February 13
Air Space will be shut between 9:00 am to 12:00 pm for the inauguration ceremony and air display.
February 14 and 15 
For air display, the airspace will be closed from 12:00 pm to 2:30 pm.
February 16-17 
Operations will be shut from 9:30 am to 12:00 pm and 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm for the air display.

Aero India-2023: Akasa Air Flights Rescheduled, Cancelled

Due to airspace closure at Bengaluru for Aero India Show 2023, some flights of Akasa Air across the network have been cancelled or rescheduled between February 8 to February 17. India's newest airline tweeted a list of flights that will be affected.

The airline company expressed regret for the inconvenience, and said, "In case your flight is impacted due to the above, you may request a full refund for your existing booking or rebook an alternate available flight at no additional cost, by sharing your request using this link: https://bit.ly/qpblrform."
