Wow! Virat Kohli launches new portfolio of his One8 brand

When asked asked if there was any competitive juices flowing back home since his wife also owns a fashion line, Virat Kohli said, "When it comes to the business side of things, both of us are professionals. There is absolutely no competition there at all. We are very professional about things that we do and that`s about it."

On how he is managing to balance a cricketing life, a business life and a life as a husband and whether life will get more hectic now with the launch of his apparel line, Virat Kohli said,"Not really. I am grateful to God that everything is fine. Being busy is good and this is what I feel. I feel that after you are done with your career and with your sport, you must have something that you need to be involved in and having my own brand gives me an opportunity to still be continuously involved in making something good."

On One8 Select portfolio, Virat Kohli said that, "I have been quite fond of wearing suits and lining it with good shoes and belts in the past so that is also a big part of my fashion statement or fashion style that I have in my wardrobe and plus this is a venture where more of my family is getting involved."

Virat Kohli also revealed that, "My brother and my brother-in-law already were into the shoe business side of things so we sat down and we thought why not collaborate and bring One8 with the line of shoes which is quite affordable. It`s exclusive but it's affordable, so that was the whole idea behind One8 select."

Virat Kohli also revealed that as a professional sportsman there is no perfect time to start business. He explained, "I don`t believe in the fact that you can`t do endorsement. If you have limited time , you should establish that properly," he said.

Virat Kohli rushed to deny that giving too much time to endorsements can be distracting for a cricketer. He reasoned, "I was 25-26 when I got associated with Wrogn (his own clothing brand). Even then people thought I am entering into business at 25, I am too young for it."

Kohli did add a proviso. He said players must balance their cricketing and commercial interests. he said, "I don't believe that you can't do endorsement while playing. I don't believe in all of that. If you have limited time, you should know how to establish (your product) in a limited period of time".

That the situation is always in a flux for most people, he reasoned that, "As a professional sportsman there is not a set age to do business because you have to establish a business whenever you start it." 

In conclusion, Virat Kohli said, "It is a cliche that you should do business only after a specific age. I don't believe that."
