Reliance Jio known for its discounted tariff plans and data offers had earlier this month revised offers on its Jio Dhan Dhana Dhan plan. The company halved prices on its tariff plans.

Jio offers a total of 12 prepaid plans and only five postpaid plans, which are similarly priced to prepaid plans.

So which service should you avail of? Let’s review.

Voice calls on Jio's network can be made free of cost, as Managing Director Reliance Industries Ltd, Mukesh Ambani, said.

The five plans compared between postpaid and prepaid below have unlimited SMSes to which the company said, “Unlimited SMS referred in the plan benefits will be capped at 100 free SMS per day in compliance with TRAI Regulations.”

Under Jio’s prepaid offers the company has plans varying from Rs 19 to Rs 9999 which range from validity of one day to 390 days respectively. Postpaid plans begin from Rs 309 and go up to Rs 999, with a minimum validity of two months on plans.

Prepaid Rs 309: Under this plan customers get 56GB data for 56 days. This works out to 1GB  per day and 128 kbps post conclusion of 4G data quota.

Postpaid Rs 309: For a period of two months or two billing cycles, Jio is offering 60GB data at 4G speed. Fair usage policy under this plan is 1GB per day.

Prepaid Rs 349: This plan is also available for a period of 56 days and offered customers 10 plus 10GB data at 4G speed.

Postpaid Rs 349: Postpaid customers will also get 20GB data for a period of two months.

Prepaid Rs 399: For a period of 84 days customers will get 84GB data at FUP 1GB per day.

Postpaid Rs 399: This plan offers the data pack for a period of three months. Customers will get 90GB data at 1GB/day.

Prepaid Rs 509: This plan is now valid for 56 days instead of the earlier 28 days and will offer 112 GB data instead of 56GB earlier. The FUP on this plan is 2GB per day for those high data consumption customers.

Postpaid Rs 509: Two billing cycles under this plan will offer customers a total of 120GB data at 4G speed. This plan also has an FUP of 2GB per day.

Prepaid Rs 999: This is the only prepaid plan that lasts up to 90 days. It offers 90GB data at 4G speed with FUP of 1GB per day.

Postpaid Rs 999: This is the highest priced plan under postpaid and is valid for a period of two months. It also offers 90GB data however the company has not listed any FUP under this plan removing the restriction of data consumed per day.
