Hotel + Aviation + Tourism Stocks in focus: Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has decided to begin granting fresh Tourist Visas for foreigners coming to India through chartered flights with effect from October 15, 2021. Foreign tourists entering into India by flights other than chartered aircraft would be able to do so only with effect from November 15, 2021, on fresh Tourist Visas. All due protocols and norms relating to COVID-19 as notified by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare from time to time shall be adhered to by the foreign tourists, carriers bringing them into India and all other stakeholders at landing stations. With this, the restrictions placed on visa and international travel stand further eased given the present overall COVID-19 situation.
Q2FY22 Update: Oberoi Realty + Bank of Maharashtra
Oberoi Realty: The real estate company on Thursday issued the summary of bookings made by it for the quarter Q2FY22 and reported a jump of 412% QoQ in total bookings at 200 units as against 39 units booked in the previous quarter ended June 30, 2021. It sold 45 units in the same quarter of the previous year (Q2FY21). Booking value rose 387% QoQ to Rs 829 crore as against Rs 170 crore in Q1FY22. The booking value stood at Rs 327.30 crore in Q2FY21. Area booked has increased to 4.43 lakh square feet from 92,128 square feet reported in Q1FY22. The area booked in Q2FY21 stood at 1.30 lakh square feet.
Bank of Maharashtra: The lender in its business updates for the quarter ended September 30, 2021, said its gross advances grew 11.5% YoY and 4% QoQ in the reported quarter. Deposits grew 15% Yoy and 4% QoQ. CASA ratio stood at 53.91% in Q2FY22 as against 50.51% in Q2FY21 and 53.04% in Q1FY22.

Hero MotoCorp: The world’s largest manufacturer of motorcycles and scooters has launched the all-new XPulse 200 4 Valve. The XPulse 200 4 Valve is available across the country at Rs 1,28,150 (Ex-Showroom, Delhi).
TVS Motor: The manufacturer of two-wheelers and three-wheelers in the world has announced the launch of TVS Jupiter 125. The starting price of the Zyada Se Bhi Zyada feature-rich 125cc scooter is Rs 73,400 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
Dixon Technologies (India) Ltd: The country’s largest electronic manufacturing services (EMS) player will manufacture laptops in India under the government’s Production Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme. For this purpose, reportedly, it has tied up with Taiwanese personal computer (PC) maker Acer for the contract manufacturing of laptops.
Tata Motors: Reportedly, Tata Motors has decided to take over the Ford India manufacturing plant in Chennai. The company has had conducted two rounds of high-level talks with Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin within two weeks. Ford’s two plants have an annual combined capacity of 4.4 lakhs vehicles. At the Chennai plant, Ford used to manufacture EcoSport and Endeavour SUVs.
