The heavy industries ministry today reviewed the performance and future readiness of state- run power equipment maker BHEL and directed the company to focus on competitiveness, innovation and leveraging digital technologies.
Secretary in the Department of Heavy Industry, Asha Ram Sihag, appreciated the company's emphasis on diversification and stressed on the need to stay focused in these initiatives with clear strategies and targets.
"Sihag was presented an overview of the performance trends of the company, manufacturing prowess, project execution strengths, diversification plans and initiatives taken for enhancing competitiveness and building R&D capabilities, among others," a statement said.
