Bihar Municipal Corporation Election 2022, Bihar Nikay Chunav 2022 Date, Bihar Nikay Chunav Result, News Update: The stage is set for Bihar Municipal Elections 2022. According to the schedule announced, Bihar Municipal Elections will be held for 224 municipal seats in two phases.

Bihar Municipal Corporation Election Date Phase 1

 

The first phase of polling will take place on Sunday, December 18. 

 

Bihar Municipal Corporation Election Date Phase 2

 

The second phase of polling will take place on Tuesday, December 28.

 

Bihar Municipal Corporation Election Results 2022 Date

 

The counting of votes polled in the first phase will take place on Wednesday, December 20.

The counting of votes polled in the second phase will take place on Friday, December 30.

Polling will start at 7 AM and conclude at 5 PM. The voting will be held through EVM. The Election Commission has released guidelines and instructions to District Magistrates for the smooth conduct of polling.

Once the polling is over, the EVMs will be sealed and stored in strong rooms amid tight security. As per the rule, Section 144 will be imposed around 200 metres of the polling booth on the date of polling. 

As many as 1,14,52,759 electors are likely to exercise their franchise in the Bihar Nikay Chunav 2022

The elections are being held to elect representatives in 17 municipal corporations, 70 nagar parishads and 137 nagar panchayats (Ward Councillor, Mayor and Deputy Mayor)

Election Commission has said that it will not allow any party symbols as in previous municipal polls.

Bihar Municipal Corporation Election or Nikay Chunav was scheduled to take place in October. But the democratic exercise was postponed.
