SBI Credit Card Users Alert! How new rules will affect you from January 1 - Check details
SBI Credit Card: It is worth mentioning that SBI Cards revised charges on EMI transactions from November 15, 2022.
SBI Credit Card: Customers of State Bank of India (SBI) using credit cards need to be aware of certain changes in rules that the bank has announced. SBI Card, the cards and payment services wing of the State Bank of India, has revised some rules for the SBI SimplyCLICK cardholders. These changes in the rules will be applicable from January 2023.
SBI Credit Card: New Rules From January 2023
According to the SBI Cards and Payment Services, the changes will be effective from January 6, 2023. The new rules are regarding the redemption of vouchers and rewards points.
The bank said that SimplyCLICK Cardholders who have been issued the Cleartrip voucher must get it redeemed in a single transaction only.
"W.e.f. 6 Jan 2023, the Cleartrip voucher issued to SimplyCLICK Cardholders on reaching the online spend milestone should be redeemed in a single transaction only and cannot be clubbed with any other offer/ voucher. For more details," SBI Cards and Payment Services said.
The bank also said that rules regarding Reward Points on online spending at Amazon.in with SimplyCLICK/SimplyCLICK Advantage SBI Card will also change. As per the new rule, these cards will accrue 5X Reward Points from January 1, 2023 instead of 10X Reward Points on spending done at Amazon.in. However, the card will continue accruing 10X Reward Points on spending at Apollo 24X7, Cleartrip, EazyDiner, Lenskart and Netmeds.
It is worth mentioning that SBI Cards revised charges on EMI transactions from November 15, 2022. It also introduced a new charge on rent payments using credit cards.
