Xiaomi Redmi 6A which was launched in India in June this year along with Redmi 6 and Redmi 6 Pro, received an enduring price cut. Before the price cut, the 2GB RAM and 16 storage of the smartphone was priced at Rs 6,599 while the 32 storage variant was priced at Rs 7.499. Both the devices have witnessed a price cut of Rs 1000 each.

Now, the 16 GB variant will cost the customers Rs 5,599 while the upper version, that is the 32 GB model is now priced at Rs 6,499. The most attractive features of this mobile phone which sets it apart from competitors are an HD+ display, face unlock, Helio A22 12nm SoC, among others. 

Initially, when the smartphone was launched in India, it was priced at Rs 5,999 and Rs 6,999 for 2 GB RAM/16 GB storage and 2 GB RAM/32 GB storage versions, respectively. This was before they received a price hike in India due to the devaluation of the Indian Rupee. 

This highly popular phone supports 1000:1 Contrast ratio, 2.5D curved glass and has a 5.45-inch HD+ (1440 × 720 pixels) display with 18:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by the 2GHz Quad-Core MediaTek Helio A22 SoC paired with IMG PowerVR GPU and further includes 2GB of RAM with 16GB / 32GB of internal storage, expandable up to 256GB via microSD in contrast to the Android 8.1 (Oreo) with MIUI 9 at the top which is can be upgraded to MIUI 10. It is also supportive of the dual sim (nano + nano + microSD) connectivity.

As far as the camera is concerned, a 13-megapixel rear camera with PDAF, f/2.2 aperture, EIS, LED Flash has been installed. Also, 5-megapixel front camera with f/2.2 aperture is in-built. Other features of Xiaomi Redmi 6A include GPS + GLONASS, Dual 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 4.2, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and a 3000mAh battery.
