WhatsApp Alert: Soon, you can detect fake images, browse websites in your favourite App
This means users wont have to leave the WhatsApp page to open links. However, it has also been noted that the user cannot take screenshots or record screen when using this feature on Whatsapp, reports GSMArena.
Facebook-owned instant messaging platform WhatsApp is reportedly working on two new updates on its beta version. These are - an in-app browser and reverse image search. Reports say that the latest feature - in-app browser - will allow the users to open a web page from within the WhatsApp. This means users won't have to leave the WhatsApp page to open links. However, it has also been noted that the user cannot take screenshots or record screen when using this feature on Whatsapp, reports GSMArena.
The feature also alerts the user with a pop-up if the web page appears to be harmful. This will not allow hackers to get the browsing information of the user as the history would be inaccessible to them.
It has also been noted that WhatsApp is testing its another interesting feature - reverse image search, which will allow users to check whether an image is real or fake by uploading the received image on Google. It will help the user to check whether the image had already appeared on the web before or not.
With the reverse image feature, the user can easily detect false information and avoid rumours.
Both of these interesting features have been spotted on WhatsApp for Android's beta app. It is currently unavailable to all WhatsApp users. There is also no such information on when they will be rolled out for all users.
