Realme is already giving tough competition to its rivals like Xiaomi and Oppo by offering TWS earbuds with features like active noise cancellation (ANC) at affordable rates. Now, with the launch of its Buds Q2 earphone, the company will try to completely dominate the budget hearable market segment in the country. The newly launched Realme Buds Q2 comes in two color options -- Active Black and Calm Grey colors and it will be available for purchase on Amazon, Realme.com from June 30th, 12 pm.

Realme Buds Q2 REVIEW: Calm Grey

We have reviewed Realme Buds Q2 in Calm Grey color option for more than a week and here are my views on it. The major highlights of the Realme Buds Q2 are it comes with active noise cancellation (ANC) feature and offers 28 hours of usage without ANC and 20 hours with the feature enabled. The newly launched earphones are IPX5 certified dust and water-resistant as well.

Realme Buds Q2 REVIEW: ANC feature

With active noise cancellation of up to 25dB, the Realme Buds Q2 monitors external noise through a feed-forward microphone, allowing the earbuds to send out a reverse anti-noise sound to cancel it out. It can filter out most low-frequency noises.

Realme Buds Q2 REVIEW: Design

In terms of design, well, both the charging case and the earbuds look premium. The charging case measures 60.34 X 44.57 X 32.96mm. The total weight of the earbuds and charging case is 45 grams. A single bud of the accessory weighs just 4.1 grams, which is extremely light in the TWS segment. We can say that the Realme Buds Q2 earbuds are very light, extremely comfortable for ears, and looks perfect on the ears. The Realme Buds Q2 has all the hardware to outclass its rival competitors -- Oppo Enco W31 and OnePlus Buds Z.

Realme Buds Q2 REVIEW: Performance

I used these Realme earphones on Android and on MacBook Air. It was easy to connect, and it is compatible with the other devices well. The Realme Buds Q2 uses Bluetooth 5.2 to connect to a smart device. Other than ANC, the earbuds are equipped with Transparency Mode, gaming mode and normal. The newly launched Realme Buds Q2 is also offering several sound effects including Bass Boost+, Dynamic, Bright, and more at affordable rates. The Realme Buds Q2 are compatible with both iOS and Android devices, but it worked best with Realme and other android smartphones.

Talking about the listening experience, the overall experience was pretty good and loud. I really loved the ANC feature. while listening to songs of Coldplay and Ed Sheeran at night, I really enjoyed the music on these buds and the overall experience was amazing.  There is also environmental noise cancellation (ENC) that reduces surrounding noise during calls. While taking calls or watch movies for long hours and playing games such as Garena Free Fire and Battlegrounds Mobile India, we did not feel any discomfort.

As I said earlier, the major USP apart from the ANC feature, of this device is its battery. Once fully charged, the earphones lasted more the 1.5 days on heavy usage.  The earbuds come packed in a charging case that packs a 480mAh battery that offers up to 28 hours of battery life. It can be charged via a USB Type-C port. Buds Q2 also supports fast charging. With just 10 minutes of charging time, you’ll get 180 minutes of playback. The Realme Buds Q2 is also IPX5 waterproofing resistant which means it can remain safe when dunked in as deep as 1 meter of water for up to 30 minutes.

Realme Buds Q2 REVIEW: FINAL VERDICT?

Priced at Rs 2,499, the Realme Buds Q2 is one of the most decent affordable earphones which comes with premium features such as Active Noise Cancellation. The newly launched earphones might be a decent choice for the youngsters who are looking to buy earbuds at an affordable price range.
