Xiaomi is set to launch the highly-awaited Redmi K20 series in India soon. The series includes two smartphones - the Redmi K20 and Redmi K20 Pro - both been launched in China last month. Now, Xiaomi India chief Manu Kumar Jain has confirmed that the Chinese smartphone manufacturer will introduce another device in India - the Redmi 7A aka 'Smart Desh Ka Smartphone'. In a tweet on Friday, Jain said that the Redmi A series has sold around 23.6 million units in India so far and the latest smartphone in the series will continue the legacy.

The company is yet to confirm the launch date for the smartphone but is expected to arrive alongside the Redmi K20 series. The Redmi 7A has already been launched in some international markets and is now all set to enter the Indian market. In the international market, the Redmi 7A is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 chipset. It comes with a 5.4-inch IPS LCD display with HD+ resolution and comes with up to 3GB RAM and up to 32GB storage. 

The smartphone has a 13-megapixel camera sensor at the back and a 5-megapixel camera on the front. The phone runs on MIUI 10 based on Android 9 Pie and is backed by a 4000mAh battery bundled with 10W charger.

The Redmi 7A price in China is available at a starting price of 549 Yuan that roughly translates to Rs 5,500 for the 2GB RAM and 16GB storage variant of the smartphone. In China, the Redmi 7A was launched in two variants - 2GB RAM, 16GB storage and 3GB RAM,32GB storage. The price of the 3GB RAM variant of the phone in China is 599 Yuan that translates to Rs 6,000 approximately. 

The Redmi 7A price in India should be very competitive.
