7th Pay Commission latest news: The recruitment process at the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) has reached the preliminary exam level as the TNPSC Group 1 exam date has been announced. The latest TNPSC preliminary exam notification on its official website says that the TNPSC preliminary exam will be conducted on 5th April 2020. Those who have applied for the TNPSC 2020 Exam can click on the official TNPSC portal tnpsc.gov.in for the latest update for the exam date and the recruitment process for bumper 69 posts falling under the 7th CPC pay and perks. The last date to apply for the TNPSC preliminary exam is 19th February 2020. Interested and eligible candidates can apply online by logging in at tnpsc.gov.in — the official website of the TNPSC.

7th Pay Commission Pay scale

After successful completion of the TNPSC Recruitment 2020 process, a successful candidate will be appointed at Level-10 and they will get a pay scale of Rs 56,100 to Rs 1,77,500 as per the 7th CPC pay matrix. Hence, after appointment, the starting salary that an appointee will get is Rs 56,100.

Out of the 69 posts notified for various positions, 18 posts have been notified for the position of Deputy collector, 19 posts for Deputy Superintendent of Police, 10 posts for Assistant Commissioners (Commercial Taxes) among some other posts, whose details are available on tnpsc.gov.in.

After the preliminary exam, all successful candidates will have to appear in the TNPSC Mains exam and after clearing the TNPSC Mains exam, candidates will be called for the interview by the TNPSC. Once, the interview is complete, a final merit list will be prepared and those who make a cut into that final merit list will be eligible for the final recruitment subject to fulfill some terms and conditions.
