Stock market indices started the day on a weak note fearing the possibility of a growing global financial crisis. Despite encouraging global signs, it appears that a widespread decline in the shares of financial corporations is dragging down markets.

However, at 11.47 AM, the S&P BSE Sensex was 0.070 per cent or 41.51 points up to 57,960.53, while the NSE Nifty 50 was down nearly 8.40 points at 17,026.95. 

On that note, let's take a look at some stocks which are in focus today, 24 March 2023. Some of these stocks include Emami, RVNL, Campus Activewear, and Accenture among others.

Emami Ltd: The board of directors of Emami Ltd is going to consider and approve the buyback of shares today, 24 March 2023. The company's board is expected to announce the buyback price and record date for buyback in its scheduled meeting today.

RVNL: Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) announced today that its JV company secured a project worth Rs 252 crore in Gujarat. The company will announce its interim dividend for FY23 today.

Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd: The government's offer for sale (OFS) of a part of its stake in Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd, saw strong demand. The shares were subscribed 2.26 times, 4.51 times (of base issue) on Friday, 24 March 2023. The floor price is Rs 2,450 and the cut-off price is Rs 2,472.

Campus Activewear: TPG is selling its 7.62 per cent stake in footwear brand Campus Activewear for Rs 800 crore through a block deal today.

SAIL: Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) announced a dividend of Rs 1 per equity share with a face value of Rs 10. The PSU steel giant will trade ex-date today, 24 March 2023.

Accenture: Accenture has shared its financial result for the second quarter of FY 2023. The company recorded revenues of $15.8 billion, an increase of 5 per cent in US dollars and 9 per cent in local currency.

Bharat Electronics: The Indian Air Force has received digital radar warning receivers and medium power radars through a total of two contracts for Rs 3,800 crore inked by the defence ministry.

Vedanta: The board of Vedanta said on Thursday, 23 March 2023 that it will meet on March 28, 2023, to discuss and approve the fifth interim dividend on equity shares for the fiscal year 2022–2023.  The company noted that April 7, 2023, has been set as the record date for establishing the equity shareholders' eligibility for the dividend if announced.
