Shares of Torrent Pharmaceutical, Wendt (India) and Cosmo Films would be in action on Thursday as the board of management of these companies have fixed record dates for interim dividend as February 3, 2022. Record date is the date when the company finalises eligible shareholders in the records of the company if they hold the shares on the given date.  
Shares of Torrent Pharma, Wendt (India) and Cosmo Films gained between 1 to 5 per cent on the BSE on Wednesday as they all traded ex-dividend.

Torrent Pharmaceuticals Rs 25 dividend

Torrent Pharma in a meeting on January 25 has declared an interim dividend of Rs 25 (500 %) per equity share of Rs 5 fully paid p. "The dividend is expected to be paid/ dispatched on or around 11th February, 2022," Torrent Pharma has said in a regulatory filing, while announcing q3 result. Pharma company had reported a 16 per cent year-on-year decline in its consolidated net profit for quarter ended December 2021 at Rs 249 crore due to its US business registering a 20 per cent decline in revenue.  

The company's total revenue rose 6 per cent to Rs 2,108 crore during the quarter, while earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) fell 5 per cent to Rs 585 crore.

Wendt (India) Rs 20 dividend
Wendt (India) shares closed with Rs 59.05 or 1.13% gain to Rs 5307.55 on the BSE as shares traded ex-dividend on Wednesday.

"The Board at its meeting has declared an interim dividend of 200% i.e. Rs. 20/- (Rupees Twenty only) per equity share (on a face value of Rs. 10/-) for the year ending 31st March 2022. The Record Date for determining the members eligible to receive aforesaid interim dividend is 3 rd February 2022. In the case of shareholders opting for NECS/ECS, the dividend would in the normal course be credited to their accounts by Wednesday, 16th February 2022. In the case of shareholders opting physical mode of payment, the same will be dispatched by Wednesday, 16th February 2022," Wendt (India) had said in a BSE filing on January 21, the day company presented its q3fy22 result.

Wendt (India) saw net profit rising by 100.59% to Rs 6.76 crore in the quarter ended December 2021 as against Rs 3.37 crore in the same quarter last year.  

Cosmo Films Rs 10 record date
Cosmo Films shares gained the most of the three on Wednesday. Stocks of the company catering to container and packaging industry closed with Rs 75.50 or 4.44% gains to Rs 1777.85 on the BSE on ex-dividend date on Wednesday.  

"Declaration of second Interim dividend (F.Y 2021-22) on the equity shares of the Company @100% i.e. Rs l0 per equity share. The dividend shall be paid on or before 24th February,2022 to eligible shareholders. Record Date is 3rd February for finalising names of such shareholders," Cosmo Films had said in corporate filing.  

Packaging firm had reported a 66.41 per cent jump in its consolidated net profit to Rs 104.42 crore for the third quarter ended December 2021, helped by lower finance cost and effective tax rate. The company had posted a consolidated net profit of Rs 62.75 crore in the October-December quarter a year ago, Cosmo Films said in a BSE filing.
