Reliance Industries' chairman and managing director Mukesh Ambani has topped the list of Indian billionaires featured in Forbes recent survey titled 'The World's Billionaires' with global ranking of 33 and networth of $23.2 billion.

Forbes on Monday released list of its 'The World's Billionaires' 2017 survey, which has witnessed a rise in the number of billionaires in the world from 13% to 2,043 this year as compared to 1,810 last year. 

Top three billionaires were from the United States (US) in Forbes' 'The World's Billionaires' 2017 survey.

"The US continues to have more billionaires than any other nation, with a record 565, up from 540 a year ago. China is catching up with 319. (Hong Kong has another 67, and Macau 1.) Germany has the third most with 114 and India, with 101, the first time it has had more than 100, is fourth," cited Forbes staff in a news report on Monday. 

 

Microsoft's founder Bill Gates topped the Forbes' billionaires list with number one ranking and wealth networth of $86 billion.

He was followed by Berkshire Hathway chief executive officer Warren Buffett with number two ranking in the Forbes list and wealth networth of $75.6 billion. 

Amazon's Jeff Bezos came in at third ranking in Forbes' billionaires list with networth of $72.8 billion while Zara's Amancio Ortega came in at fourth ranking with networth of $71.3 billion. 

Facebook's chairman, chief executive officer and co-founder Mark Zuckerberg came in at fifth ranking in Forbes' billionaires list survey with networth of $56 billion.

After Mukesh Ambani, ArcelorMittal's chairman and chief executive officer Lakshmi Mittal from India topped the Forbes billionaires list with global ranking of 56 and wealth networth of $16.4 billion. 

Azim Premji of India's software services firm Wipro topped the Forbes billionaires list this year with a global ranking of 72 and networth of $14.9 billion. 

India's multinational pharma company Sun Pharmaceutical Industries' managing director Dilip Shanghvi has made to the Forbes list with a global ranking of 84 and wealth networth of $13.7 billion. 

IT software services company HCL Technologies' founder, chairman and chief strategy officer Shiv Nadar has topped the Forbes list with ranking of 102 and networth of $12.3 billion. 

Aditya Birla Group chairman Kumar Mangalam Birla has came in at 133 global ranking in the Forbes richest list with networth of $9.5 billion. 

Poonawalla Group chairman Cyrus Poonawalla has topped the global ranking of Forbes billionaires list with 159 ranking and networth of $8.1 billion.

From India's banking space, Kotak Mahindra Bank's executive vice chairman and managing director Uday Kotak was ranked at 166 in the Forbes world's billionaires list with wealth networth of $8 billion. 

In the telecom sector, Bharti Enterprises' founder and chairman Sunil Mittal, the company which owns Bharti Airtel, topped the Forbes' billionaires list with a global ranking of 182 and wealth networth of $7.5 billion. 

In the infrastructure sector, Gautam Adani chairman of Adani Group has been ranked at 250 in the Forbes' billionaires list this year with networth of $5.8 billion. 

Essar Group's Shashi Ruia and Ravi Ruia have topped the Forbes list with a global ranking of 281 and total networth of $5.5 billion. 

Former chief executive officer of Eicher Motors Vikram Lal has came in at 288 ranking in the Forbes billionaires list with networth of $5.4 billion. 

Shree Cement's chairman Benu Gopal Bangur has been ranked at 303 on the Forbes world's billionaires list with wealth networth of $5.2 billion. 

Similarly, Jindal Steel and Power chairman emeritus Savitri Jindal and Cadila Healthcare chairman and managing director Pankaj Patel have been ranked at 303 on the Forbes world's billionaires list for possessing wealth networth of $5.2 billion each.

India's pharma company Lupin's founder and chairman Desh Bandhu Gupta came in at 348 ranking at the Forbes' billionaires list with networth of $4.7 billion.

Indian entreprenuer Micky Jagtiani founder of Dubai-based Landmark retail stores group was ranked at 367 at the Forbes world's billionaires list with networth of $4.5 billion. 

Indian businessman M A Yusuff Ali  who is managing director of Abu Dhabi-headquartered EMKE Lulu Group too shared the same ranking of 367 at the Forbes list with networth of $4.5 billion. 

Subhash Chandra chairman of Essel Group and Member of Parliament came in at 385 ranking int the Forbes richest list this year with networth of $4.4 billion.

Real estate company DLF chairman and chief executive officer Kushal Pal Singh was ranked at 427 in the Forbes billionaires list with networth of $4.1 billion. 

Sun Group chairman and managing director Kalanithi Maran came in at 474 ranking in the Forbes billionaires list with networth of $3.8 billion. 

Piramal Group and Shriram Group chairman Ajay Piramal was ranked at 501 in the Forbes billionaires list with networth of $3.7 billion. 

Bajaj Brothers, Bajaj Group chairman Rahul Bajaj and RP Group Companies founder and chairman Ravi Pillai have shared the same ranking of 544 on the Forbes billonaires list this year with networth $3.5 billion each. 

Founder and chairman of Vedanta Resources Anil Agarwal came in at 603 ranking with networth of $3.2 billion while Hero Moto Corp chairman, manging director and chief executive officer Pawan Munjal was ranked at 630 in the Forbes list with networth of $3.1 billion. 

However, Mukesh Ambani's brother Anil Ambani who is chairman of Reliance Group was ranked at 745 in the Forbes billionaires' list with networth of $2.7 billion.
