Mukesh Ambani, Chairman of Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL), made one of the most-awaited launch announcement for Reliance Jio. Ambani said that starting September 5, Jio's services will be available for everyone.

Ambani was giving a presentation at the annual shareholders' meet being held in Mumbai. 

Ambani even unveiled Reliance Jio’s tariff structure, and made major announcements, making voice calls free for all its customers, and doing away with roaming charges on all the domestic calls.

These major announcements by the new telecom player are expected to cause a lot of damage to its competitors. This was seen as the rivals' stock prices, such as Bharti Airtel and Idea Cellular even while the announcements were being made.

Reliance Jio tariff starts at Rs 199 which offers a 300 MB 4G data, 100 SMS, and will be valid for 28 days. It will buy you  subscription  to  Jio  Apps worth Rs 1,250.

The second plan is for Rs 499 which offers 4GB with 4G unlimited Night data, free subscription to  Jio  apps, unlimited SMS’, 8GB Wi-Fi data from JioNet hotspots and is valid for 28 days.

The Rs 999 pack comes with 10GB with unlimited Night data, free subscription to  Jio  apps, unlimited SMS’, 20GB Wi-Fi data from JioNet hotspots, and is valid for 28 days.

The Rs 1,499 pack comes with 20GB with unlimited 4G Night data, free subscription to  Jio  apps, unlimited SMS’, 40GB Wi-Fi data from JioNet hotspots and is valid for 28 days.

The Rs 2,499 pack offers customers 35GB with 4G unlimited Night data, free subscription to  Jio  apps, unlimited SMS’, 70GB Wi-Fi data from JioNet hotspots and is valid for 28 days.

The Rs 3,999 pack offers customers 60GB with 4G unlimited Night data, free subscription to  Jio  apps, unlimited SMS’, 120GB Wi-Fi data from JioNet hotspots and is valid for 28 days.

The Rs 4,999 pack offers customers 75GB with 4G unlimited Night data, free subscription to  Jio  apps, unlimited SMS’, 150GB Wi-Fi data from JioNet hotspots and is valid for 28 days.
