Indian shares ended higher on Friday clocking their third straight weekly gain, as a weaker-than-expected economic growth data raised hopes the central bank would cut interest rates in October.
The broader NSE Nifty closed 0.57 percent higher at 9,974.40, while the benchmark BSE Sensex ended 0.51 percent higher at 31,892.23.
The Nifty ended the week up 1.2 percent, while the Sensex posted a weekly gain of 0.9 percent.
