The much-awaited teaser of the upcoming mythological film — 'Adipurush' released in Ayodhya on October 2. Helmed by director Om Raut, the upcoming film stars Prabhas, Kriti Sanon and Saif Ali Khan in key roles. Upon its release the film's teaser has seen equal amount of love as well as hate on social media. Like all modern renditions of age-old classics, this too has its share of detractors on Twitter, we tell you why.
Here is a sneak peek into the characters of Adipurush through the just-released pictures:
"Adipurush" is Raut`s take on the `Ramayana` by Valmiki. The film is set 7,000 years ago and, in the film, Prabhas`s character is not called Lord Ram. Instead, his character is called Raghav, which is another name for Ram, an IANS report said. Pic: IANS
Saif Ali Khan will play the role of Lankesh, the demon King Ravan, in the film. Khan's first look from the film has received mixed reactions from people on social media, with some saying his character's appearance doesn't look anything like the prevalent image of Ravan in popular. Pic: IANS
