Latest LPG price with effect from May 1: State-run oil marketing companies (OMCs) such as Indian Oil, which supplies cooking gas under the brand Indane, has reduced the price of LPG in the national capital by Rs 19 per 19-kg cylinder, with effect from May 1, according to its website, iocl.com.

According to the IOC statement, non-subsidised or market priced LPG cylinder rates have been cut by a steep Rs 120.50 per cylinder too. Reason behind the move to cut the rates was made clear by the statement - “due to fall in price of LPG in international market and strengthening of US dollar-rupee exchange rate.”

LPG prices hiked: Those who are using domestic non-subsidised LPG will have to pay Rs 754 in Delhi, Rs 728.50 in Mumbai, Rs 781.50 in Kolkata, and Rs 770.50 in Chennai. The oil companies have also increased the prices of LPG cylinder used in hotels and restaurants. With an increase of Rs 77 per cylinder in last month, it used to cost Rs 1244.50 in Delhi, but with new hike it will now cost Rs 1328 in the national capital.
