Industrial credit degrew (-1.7% YoY) for the first time in 3 years, and this trend was led by large industrial credit, which degrew 2.9% YoY. On a YTD basis, overall / large industrial credit de-grew 5.7/6.7%. Aided by disbursals under the MSME credit guarantee scheme, growth in credit to medium industries continued to accelerate, reaching 16.7%, even as MoM growth slowed from 11.9% in September to 2.4%. Within industrial credit, sectors such as gems and jewellery, glass and glassware and all engineering including electronics saw persistent YoY degrowth, together, these constitute 18.4% of industrial credit.
The Nifty is expected to trade between 12800 and 13200 amid high volatility. ICICI Securities recommends to Sell Nifty 13150 Call (December 3 expiry) in the range of 45-47 with target of 31-21 and Stop loss of 61. Bank Nifty Future:

ICICI Securities believes only a move below 12800 may extend any profit taking. Otherwise declines remain a buying opportunity in the ongoing positive trend. Sectorally, after significant outperformance seen from BFSI and other non heavyweights, a round of profit booking cannot be ruled out. In such a scenario, performance can be expected from technology, pharma and FMCG stock.

Majority of the rise clocked by the Nifty was backed by addition of longs as month on month, the open interest in Nifty increased by 14%, the rollover was also on the higher side at 78.68% vs the three month average of 76% with a positive rollover cost of 35 points indicating majority of the long position has got carried forward to the next series.
