PNB Customers? Punjab National Bank issues ALERT about FAKE complaint portal; asks to register complaint only on official website
Punjab National Bank (PNB) has warned its customers and has asked them to beware of fake complaint portal of the bank.
As the central government and state government of India are trying their best to boost digitalization in the country, the number of cybercrimes and frauds has also increased. Due to the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic, banks have also started providing most of the banking services to the customers online.
In such a situation, it is very important for the people to understand if the information provided or websites showing up on internet are fake or official.

Punjab National Bank (PNB) on Thursday has warned its customers and has asked them to not to fall pray and beware of fake complaint portal of the bank.
"Do not fall prey to complaint portal fraud. Customers, take note," PNB tweeted.

The bank further informed that it does not have a complaint portal by the name of www.complaintsqueryregister.com.
"Please note that bank does not have a complaint portal by the name of www.complaintsqueryregister.com. The fake portal carries Bank's logo and is being circulated on social media with the intention of defrauding our customers." PNB said in the advisory.
It also advised the customers to file their complaints through official channels only.
Earlier on August 14, the bank had asked its customers to report incidents of fraudulent messages on https://cybercrime.gov.in.
"Isn’t something fishy? The answer is if you haven’t participated in a lottery, you can’t win it. Report such incidents of fraudulent messages on https://cybercrime.gov.in. Be mindful," it tweeted.

PNB warned the customers and asked them to always check the official website for offers and contests.
