7th Pay Commission: After 7th pay commission salary hike for over 20 lakh government employees of Maharashtra, new year cheer has arrived for over 8 lakh government employees of West Bengal. The employees of the state will be getting higher pay from January 2019. Though the decision was taken in June last year, it has come into effect from this month. It said that the rate of DA that some other employees are drawing as per the Pre-Revised Pay too shall be enhanced from the existing rate of 199% to 242% with effect from 01-01-2019.
The hike will be applicable for all the government employees drawing Basic Pay (i.e. Band Pay + Grade Pay + NPA, if any) up to Rs 80,000/- per month.
