Dhadak box office collection: Janhvi Kapoor, Ishaan Khatter movie enters Bollywood's top 10 list
Dhadak box office collection: 2018 has been a remarkable year for the Bollywood film industry with back to back superhit film releases. Many made it to the Rs 100 crore club. However, Dhadak collection has a long way to go yet. Lets have a look at the opening day collections of the top 10 grossers of the year
Sanju collection: Rs 34.75 crore
Ranbir Kapoor movie opened at the box office with a bang. Rajkumar Hirani directed Sanju has broken most of the records in the first half of 2018. The movie has become the highest grosser of the year and the fastest one to enter the Rs 200 and Rs 300-cr club.
Avengers: Infinity War collection: Rs 31.30 crore
Infinity War has seen enormous success worldwide. Avengers: Infinity War has earned the highest revenue in box office collections among the Hollywood films in India till date. The movie's gross box office collections topped Rs 261.46 crore in the country!
Race 3 collection: Rs 28.50 crore
Before Sanju, Salman Starrer Race 3 became the biggest opener of 2018. The movie released during the Eid festival and had the benefit of a holiday weekend and beyond. This led to the rise in the box office collection of the movie. The film managed to grab Rs 166.38 crore in the box office.
Baaghi 2 collection: Rs 25.10 crore
Baaghi 2 grossed took its three week total to Rs 154 crore net making it the 19th highest net grosser ever. It will remain in 19th place as the 18th position film is Krrish 3 at Rs 175 crore net.
Padmaavat collection: Rs 24 crore (Including Paid Previews)
The Sanjay Leela Bhansali directed film made buzz at the box office despite opposition from various groups. The film grabbed Rs 585 crore in the Box Office.
Deadpool 2 collection: Rs 11.25 crore
This Hollywood film has managed to bag as much as Rs 33. 40 crore within just three days of its release. The film, directed by David Leitch and starring Ryan Reynolds, is a sequel of the tremendously successful 2016 movie Deadpool
Veere Di Wedding collection: Rs 10.70 crore
The film has earned Rs 98.88 cr in the India market. The worldwide box office collection of the film is Rs 126.54 crore.
Pad Man collection: Rs 10.26 crore
Directed by R Balki and produced by Twinkle Khanna the film's box office collection is approximately 81.82. The Akshay Kumar, Radhika Apte and Sonam Kapoor starrer is based on the life of Arunachalam Muruganantham, who invented low-cost sanitary pad making machine and raised awareness about sanitary health among rural India.
Raid collection: Rs 10.04 crore
The Ajay Devgn starrer is about an honest taxman who targets money launderers and seeks to bring justice to them. The result has been a Rs 100 cr movie.
Dhadak collection: Rs 8.71 crore
Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter starrer Dhadak is the first romcom musical success of 2018, collecting Rs 33.67 crore in opening weekend. The film continued to do well through the weekend. Dhadak earned Rs. 8.71 crore on the opening day, over Rs 11 crore on the second day and Rs 13.92 crore on the third.
