However, it was mentioned that these districts Chikkamagaluru, Shivamogga, Davanagere, Mysuru, Chamarajanagara, Hassan, Dakshina Kannada, Bengaluru Rural, Mandya, Belagavi and Kodagu districts will continue to follow lockdown rules due to high positivity rates.
"After analysing the situation today and tomorrow, we will look into- what is to be done, with the situation improving, and what all to be relaxed further- and we will do it," Yediyurappa said in response to a question about the next phase of unlocking in the state.
The CM may take a decision in this regard, after taking into account advice by the state's COVID-19 Technical Advisory Committee (TAC- consisting of experts), and after consulting senior Ministers and officials of his government, before the end of this week.
The health experts had also suggested that opening of economic and other activities be allowed in a graded manner after assessing the local situation and to continue with the appropriate containment and surveillance measures to fully overcome the pandemic in the State, the guideline mentioned.
In the rest of the districts in the State, certain additional activities (relaxations), to the said guidelines are permitted. These measures will come into effect from 6 AM on June 14 and will be in force up to 6 AM of June 21.
However, night curfew will continue to be imposed from 7 PM to 5 AM as per the guidelines. Also, there shall be a weekend curfew from Friday 7 PM to Monday 5 AM as per the guidelines.
