Ministry of Education in its tweet said "The State Education Secretaries Meeting was held to review the COVID situation, online education, and work around NEP. Education is the top priority and as instructed by the Government of India, a COVID action plan to ensure uninterrupted education is required."

The suggestions that emerged during the meeting include:
1. Bharat net to connect all the schools.
2. Provide digital devices to secondary school students.
3. To ensure the mental wellness of students and teachers, the 'Manodarpan' portal needs to be used effectively.
4. Grief session to be arranged at required places.

No decision has been made regarding the CBSE board examination in the meeting. It was expected that the decision regarding the CBSE board exams will also be discussed.
Students across the country are demanding for the cancellation of the CBSE Class 12 board exams due to the Covid-19 situation in the country. The CBSE Class 12 board exam has already been postponed once while the CBSE Class 10 exam has been cancelled.
