Maharashtra FDA action against McDonald's: Engaging with competent authorities, using only genuine cheese, says fast food chain; CAIT demands ban on operations
In wake of the alleged health violations at a McDonald's outlet, in Ahemadnagar, the Confederation of All India Traders ( CAIT) has demanded that the government impose complete ban on business operations of McDonald countrywide as the "egregious act not only constitutes a serious offence but also poses a significant health hazard to consumers."
Hardcastle Restaurant, a subsidiary of Westlife Foodworld Ltd, has franchisee rights to own and operate McDonald's restaurants in India's western and southern markets. (File image)
