Genpact India increases maternity leave to 6 months
Global business process management, services and IT corporation, Genpact increased its maternity leave to 26 weeks from 12 weeks in India.
The company said that the leave will be applicable to not only birth mothers but also adopting and commissioning mothers.
“…the maternity leave is accessible to women employees for giving birth to or adopting up to two children,” the company said.

Our aspiration is to be an industry leader in this area, and adopt market-leading practices. This is a big step in that direction,” said Piyush Mehta, SVP and Chief Human Resources Officer, Genpact,”
The company, which is also listed on the New York Stock Exchange and has headquarters in NY, claimed to have many ‘women friendly’ initiatives to create ‘supportive ecosystem for women employees.’
