The tweet from the official Twitter handle of Sony Sports said, "India is spoilt for choice as Exceptional spin bowler, World No.2 Test Bowler, Ravichandran Ashwin, is in the mix! In the second test, KL Rahul scored a spectacular knock of 129 runs in the first innings. India scored 364 runs in the first innings. England in the first innings scored 391 runs. In the second innings, experienced middle order batsmen from India, Pujara and Vice-Captain Rahane scored 45 and 61 runs, respectively. However, in the end it was Shami and Bumrah who scored 56 not out and 34 not out to take India's score to 298-8, a respectable score for India to declare the inning.

England's battling line up crumbled before the pace attacks of Shami, Bumrah and Siraj. Siraj took four wickets in the second innings. Bumrah picked up three wickets. Ishant Sharma and Shami picked up two and one wickets, respectively to bundle England for paltry 120 runs. KL Rahul was declared the Player of the Match.
