Kylie Jenner, who will turn 21 next month, runs Kylie Cosmetics, one of the hottest makeup companies ever. She launched her cosmetic firm two years ago with a $29 "lip kit" consisting of a matching set of lipstick and lip liner. According to Forbes, she has sold more than $630 million worth of makeup since, including an estimated $330 million in 2017.

Forbes conservatively valued her company at $800 million and raised her overall worth to $900 million by including earnings from television programs, endorsements and after-tax dividends. She owns entire 100 per cent stake in her company.

She is an active social media user and leverages her presence there to grow her business. Almost on hourly basis, she posts fresh pictures on Instagram and Snapchat, pouting for selfies with captions about which Kylie Cosmetics shades she is wearing. She uploads videos of forthcoming products and announces new launches.

Forbes did a story on America's women billionaires and featured Kylie Jenner on the cover page. "Thank you @Forbes for this article and the recognition. I’m so blessed to do what I love everyday," she tweeted.

Kylie Jenner is already the youngest person on Forbes' list of richest self-made US women and another year of earnings would make her the youngest self-made billionaire ever. Mark Zuckerberg had crossed the threshold at the age of 23.
