Warren Buffett, one of the world's richest investors, has a net worth of nearly $89 billion, according to Forbes. He is super famous for his investment tips, stock picking art and intellectual speeches. While CEO and Chairman of Berkshire Hathaway is also famous for spending only $3 a day on breakfast, according to CNBC. But the question of the year is, how much money does Buffett keep in his wallet? In an interview to Yahoo Finance, Buffett claimed that he keeps $400 in his wallet. Buffett said that he carries around $400 with him. His wife, Astrid Buffett likes to use cash, so he would just take home a chunk of cash every now and then and she doles it out. Buffett added that his wife looks at his billfold and sees whether all the 100s are gone.

Buffett’s tendency to use cash puts him in the minority among Americans as according to survey done by PEW Research Center in 2018, only 18 per cent made 'all or almost all of their purchases' with cash. While about half, i.e 52 per cent of Americans made 'some' of their purchases with cash and 29 per cent made 'none' of their purchases with cash.

Buffett also said that he uses cash 98% of the time and even if he is in a restaurant, he would always pay cash and finds it much easier. But the big investor keeps one credit card with him and carries an American Express card since 1964.

While the world is moving towards the digital economy and cashless transactions, but Buffett still likes to pay through cash as he finds it much easier. Paying through cash actually can save you tons of money, as it holds you back of spending on unwanted stuff.
