JetBlue's founder David Neeleman is all set to launch a new airline in the US. "After years of U.S. airline consolidation, the conditions are improving for a new generation of U.S. airline to emerge, focused on passenger service and satisfaction," Neeleman said. Clearly, he thinks that the current crop of airlines is falling short on these terms and that he can fill the gap with a new carrier. When will that happen? Likely around 2021.

According to a report by Conde Nast Taveler, Neeleman and his team is working on the project to ensure a better on-board experience with the new airline. The team has placed an order of 60 mid-sized planes in the form of Airbus A220. Airbus said that these single-aisle jets "offer a comfortable five-abreast cabin.” 

However, what the cabin or the seats in the proposed airline would look like was not revealed. According to reports, the planes would come with Wi-Fi and would also have  19-inch-wide seats.

Also not revealed was the routes that the proposed airline would fly and how much the tickets would cost. Although, the company did not disclose details about the new airline, experts are of opinion that it would likely serve only secondary airports.
