According to a report by Time Money, flight attendants revealed that bringing small gifts for the cabin crew is the best way to nab upgrades, free drinks, and other in-flight perks.

The report also cited a version of a vlogger and flight attendant for a major U.S. Carrier named Oak Lynn Woods, who said that, “flight attendants regularly deal with angry passengers ranging from rude to overtly racist. People don’t realize how rude passengers are,” Woods says. “I experience that every day at work.” So according to her, kindness goes a long way, especially during the holidays, and travelers who are thoughtful enough to bring treats are often well taken care of by flight attendants. This can mean anything from a free drink to a free flight upgrade.”

Woods also said that she always carries a bag fool of goodies for the flight attendants on board whenever she is traveling.

However, the upgrade would only be possible if space allows. But even if there's no space to upgrade the nice gesture of the traveler will always pay off. If not upgrade the passenger would definitely get special treatment from the cabin crew.

Another thing to keep in mind is that the flight attendants are warned not to eat unwrapped or homemade food, so do not bother yourself cooking something for them. It is always better to bring something store-bought with original packaging.
