Commodity Superfast: India To Limit Sugar Exports In Risk To Global Food Prices

In view of the rising prices of sugar in the domestic market, the central government can take a big decision. To curb the export of sugar, the government can fix the export limit. It is believed that the government can fix the export limit of 10 million tonnes of sugar this season. Last year, 71.91 lakh tonnes of sugar was exported. Sugar Marketing Year runs from October to September. To stop the rise in sugar prices in the country, the government will now impose limits on sugar exports.
