Commodities Live: Sugar Production In India Will Decrease This Year, ISMA Released Estimates

This year the production of sugar in India may be less than estimated in 2022-23. ISMA has released the latest estimates. Sugar production in 2022-23 is possible at 3.40 million tonnes as against 3.65 million tonnes. Sugar production in Maharashtra is estimated to decrease by 16 lakh tonnes. Production of 1.21 crore tonnes is possible in Maharashtra. Sugar production in Uttar Pradesh is estimated to decrease by 1 lakh tonnes to 10.2 million tonnes.
