Commodities Capsule - Silver drops 6%, Copper at 5-month low on China demand worries

Commodities Capsule: The sentiment in the commodities market this week remain subdued with base metals prices falling over sluggish economic recovery in China and exacerbated by worries over demand outlook. Copper Futures on the London Metal Exchange (LME) hovered around five-month lows with the commodity heading for its biggest weekly drop since November. Ferrous metals, iron ore, steel rebar in China extended weakness to near six-month lows. The bullion market saw drop in gold and silver futures this week. Silver is down 6 percent so far this week, correcting nearly Rs 5,000 in two trading sessions, while Gold prices squandered all its weekly gains, correcting $60 from its record high levels seen this month.
