Virat Kohli became the most consistent all-format accumulator of his time, making jaw-dropping chases look easy. Kohli made his Asia Cup debut in 2010. He featured in 2010, 2012, and 2016 editions of the Asia Cup and will now take part in his fourth Asia Cup starting on August 28.

Virat Kohli batting average in the Asia Cup is 63.83 in the 16 matches he played in the Asia Cup (ODI format) with 766 runs. He has 3 centuries and 2 half-centuries. Also, in the T20I format of the Asia Cup, the former Indian captain has 153 runs in 5 matches with an average of 76.50.

Also, Virat scored his best knock of his ODI career in Asia Cup 2012 against Pakistan.  He scored 183 runs and helped the Indian team pull off a memorable run-chase.

Kohli returns to the Indian team for the Asia Cup in T20I format after a break of more than a month after having last played during the tour of England in July, where he made scores of 16 and 17 in two ODIs as well as 1 and 11 in two T20Is apart from 11 and 20 in rescheduled fifth Test at Edgbaston.

He was then rested for the white-ball tour of West Indies and ODIs against Zimbabwe. Kohli has been in a prolonged lean patch, having not scored a century in international cricket since November 2019. If Kohli features in India's playing eleven for the Asia Cup opener against Pakistan on August 28, dubbed as the 'greatest rivalry' in cricketing world, it will also mark his 100th T20I appearance.
