Inter Milan is playing in their first UEFA Champions League final in 13 years. They last appeared in the finals back in 2010, when they won the trophy with a 2-0 victory over German club Bayern Munich. Inter has already won the Coppa Italia, beating Fiorentina 2-1, and the Super Coppa Italia, beating AC Milan 3-0, this season. This will be Inter's third trophy of the season if they manage to beat City in the final.

Manchester City has never won the Champions League, and this will be their second appearance in a European final. The last time they reached the final was in 2021, when they were defeated 1-0 by English rivals Chelsea. City has the Premier League as well as the FA Cup under their belt already. If they manage to win the UEFA Champions League, they will be the second English club to win the continental treble — winning the domestic league, the domestic cup, and the continental cup in the same season. Apart from that, City will also be the eighth club overall to win the treble, bearing in mind that Spanish side Barcelona and German side Bayern Munich have achieved this feat twice.

This time, City will attempt to break their UCL hoodoo, but Inter is not to be taken lightly.

Manchester City has been an unstoppable force in the Champions League. They lead the league in goals scored by a club this season with 31 and have only conceded five in 12 games. Inter Milan, on the other hand, will not hold back either. They come into this game on a good run, having only lost one of their last 13 matches in all competitions, winning 11 of them. Inter finished second in their Champions League group, losing only twice to Group C winners Bayern Munich, but have gone unbeaten since then.
