As reported by Goal.com, Galtier was quoted as saying, "I had the privilege of coaching the best player in the history of football. It will be Leo's last match at the Parc des Princes against Clermont." The match will be played at 12:30 am on June 4.

Lionel Messi's next club

This occurs at a time when Messi is rumoured to be receiving a high-paying offer from Saudi Arabian club Al-Hilal, which may allow him to compete against Cristiano Ronaldo, who is presently playing for Al-Nassr in the Saudi Pro League.

Messi also has the option of returning to the Spanish club Barcelona, with which he spent nearly 18 years before joining PSG in 2021. According to Goal.com, the 35-year-old might also consider his chances of going to the English Premier League (EPL).

Messi has been in excellent form this year. In Ligue 1, he has contributed 16 goals and 16 assists. He was a crucial player for PSG, helping them win their record-breaking 11th Ligue 1 title. Messi's unapproved travel to Saudi Arabia earlier this season, which also led to his brief suspension from the team, is probably the reason for his move there.

Lionel Messi's last match for PSG

On June 4, PSG will face Clermont Foot in their final Ligue 1 game of the year. Messi has not yet made any final decision about his future in club football.

He has played 57 games and scored 22 goals for PSG since his debut in 2021.

He formerly played for Barcelona from 2004 to 2021, where he scored 474 goals in 520 games.

On Sunday, Paris Saint-Germain hosted Strasbourg at the Parc des Princes. In that match, Messi set a new record as he became the all-time highest scorer in Europe's top five football leagues, including the Premier League in England, Series A in Italy, the Bundesliga in Germany, La Liga in Spain, and Ligue 1 in France, after scoring his 496th goal. The game was tied 1-1 after 90 minutes, and PSG was declared the Ligue 1 2022–23 champion because of a better goal differential over second-place Lens.
