According to reports, on July 24, Saudi Arabian club Al-Hilal offered Mbappe's Ligue 1 club Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) a whopping €300 million for their star player.

This was after PSG stated that they would be selling Mbappe this summer as the 24-year-old forward will not be extending his contract which expires next year, and PSG doesn't want to let him go for free. PSG has already agreed to the €300 million bid and has permitted Al-Hilal to start negotiations with Mbappe.

It is reported that Al-Hilal has made a €1 billion package deal for this transfer, which will break all existing transfer records.

If this transfer goes through, Mbappe will become the most expensive player in the world, overtaking his current teammate Neymar Jr's €222 million transfer value, that PSG paid to FC Barcelona back in 2017.

Mbappe, on the other hand, will receive €700 million for one season if he signs for Al-Hilal, and this will make him the highest-paid football player of all time, beating Cristiano Ronaldo's record of  €200 million per year.

Real Madrid is also in the race to sign Mbappe, but it would be difficult for the Spanish club to match Al-Hilal's bid.

Kylian Mbappe is one of the biggest stars in the football world at the moment. Many commentators and supporters believe that the Mbappe-Haaland era will follow the Ronaldo-Messi era, and many people are concerned about Mbappe departing Europe at the height of his career just for money. But this deal can be a win-win situation for all the parties involved, including Real Madrid.

The Win-Win Situation

Mbappe has just one year left in his contract with PSG, and he has already made it clear that he will not be extending his stay in Paris. PSG's sale of Mbappe will earn them €300 million.

Mbappe signing for Al-Hilal for just one season will make him €700 million, and he can again return to Europe next year and sign for Real Madrid for free with his pockets full. Al-Hilal, on the other hand, doesn't mind spending the money as they are one of the four clubs owned by the Saudi Government, and it can be one of the best things that can happen to the Saudi Pro League as one of the biggest footballing stars in the world right now will play in their league along with legends of the game like Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema.
