England has a fiery start to their innings, with opener Ben Duckett at the forefront, scoring 153 in 151 balls. However, after his fall, England collapsed like a house of cards. In the second innings, the Indian batters annihilated the English bowling, and at the forefront was youngster Yashaswi Jaiswal, who made another 214 runs in 236 balls, smashing 14 boundaries and 12 sixes. Shubman Gill also contributed making 91 runs off 151 balls, and with Sarfaraz Khan's 68 off 72 balls, India put up a target of 557 runs, losing just four wickets in the process.

India also showcased their class with the red ball, as they bowled out the English team within 122 runs and won the match by a record 434 runs, with Jadeja picking up a fifer.

India will still lack the services of KL Rahul in the fourth test, as he hasn't fully recovered from his quadriceps injury. Jasprit Bumrah has also been rested and will come back to the squad for the fifth test in Dharamshala. Mukesh Kumar is expected to be Bumrah's replacement. However, the management also has another 27-year-old pacer from Bengal, Akash Deep, who got his maiden call-up to the squad ahead of the test in Ranchi.

On the other hand, England has also replaced Mark Wood and Rehan Ahmed, with Ollie Robinson and Shoaib Bashir maintaining their two pacers and two spinners combination for the fourth test as they fight to level the series.
