India's tour of South Africa: Continuing his role as the captain of Team India in the T20 format, Suryakumar Yadav will again take the reins of the Men in Blue in the three-match T20I series during India's tour to South Africa. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced the squads for the South Africa tour in all formats on Thursday, November 30.

The board also mentioned that KL Rahul will lead Team India in the ODI series against the Proteas, and Rohit Sharma will return as the skipper for the Test series. Jaspirt Bumrah has been named as the deputy to Sharma for the Test series.

The T20I series will begin on Sunday, December 10, in Durban, followed by a three-match ODI series and a two-match Test series.

As per the statement released by the BCCI, skipper Rohit Sharma and batter Virat Kohli will not be in the squad for the limited-over format. Both players had requested the board for a break from the white-ball leg of the tour.

The board also mentioned that the inclusion of Mohammed Shami in the squad will depend on the player's fitness, as he is currently undergoing medical treatment. Rinku Singh and B Sai Sudharshan have also received their maiden call-up to the Indian ODI squad.
