ICC T20 World Cup 2022 - England full squad and match schedule: Can Jos Buttlers men steal the thunder Down Under?

ICC T20 World Cup 2022 England Squad: England are among the top contenders for the T20 crown, but their hopes of winning the T20 World Cup faced two setbacks recently. First, wicketkeeper-batsman Johnny Bairstow, who has been in scintillating form, suffered a freak injury while playing golf, and was sidelined from the marquee tournament. Second, Jason Roy, who on his day can single-handedly win it for England, has suffered a slump in form, and been dropped from the squad.

 

However, there’s a lot going in favour of this England side as well. Phil Salt has been rewarded for his consistency in domestic cricket, and been given a ticket to Australia. Jos Buttler is another keeper-batsman who is in the form of his career. He has been named as the skipper for the T20 World Cup Down Under.

 

England’s bowling attack has been stregthened by the return of Mark Woods and Chris Woakes’ after injuries. England’s hopes will also ride on how Liam Livingstone and Dawid Malan perform during the T20 World Cup.
