India vs Australia 1st Test Highlights: India end Day 1 on 77/1, after Jadeja and Ashwin bowl out Aussies for 177 in Nagpur

India VS Australia Highlights Day 1: India ended Day 1 of Nagpur Test on a score of 77 runs for the loss of opener KL Rahul's wicket. Skipper Rohit Sharma was at the crease batting on 56, alongwith night-watchman Ravichandran Ashwin playing on naught.

Ravindra Jadeja bagged a fifer, and Ravichandran Ashwin scalped 3 wickets as Indian spinners ran through the Aussie batting order in the second session of the day, after Steve Smith and Marnus Labuschagne handled the Indian bowlers with a lot of confidence till lunch. Australia recovered from early jitters to reach 76 for two at lunch, but were tottering at 174 runs for the loss of 8 wickets at tea, and were eventually bowled out for 177 soon after on opening day of the first Test in Nagpur on Thursday.

Mohammed Shami (1/12) and Mohammed Siraj (1/13) removed Usman Khawaja (1) and David Warner (1) in quick succession but Labuschagne (49) and Smith (37) led the Australian fight back in an engaging first session. But that was until Jadeja and Ashwin discovered the correct line and length to bowl on this pitch after lunch.

After removing the set batsmen - Labuschagne and Smith, Jadeja also removed Renshaw, Carey and Handscombe leaving the Kangaroos bamboozled. From the other end, Ashwin also found his rhythm to scalp wickets of Alex Carey, Pat Cummins and Scott Boland.
