IPL 2023: CSK vs RR Head-to-Head

One-time IPL winners, Rajasthan Royals, will meet four-time IPL champions, Chennai Super Kings, in their IPL 2023 home match at the Sawai Mansingh Indoor Stadium in Jaipur at the 7:30 P.M. match today. This will be the second match between both teams in IPL 2023. In the build-up to this match, RR have won four of their seven matches, while table toppers CSK have won five of their seven matches in IPL 2023.

Chennai have beaten Lucknow Super Giants, Mumbai Indians, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Sunrisers Hyderabad, and Kolkata Knight Riders this season while losing their matches to Gujarat Titans and Rajasthan Royals. 

This will be the 29th match between the two teams. Chennai Super Kings have won 15 times, while Rajasthan Royals have emerged victorious 13 times.

In their last five matches, Rajasthan Royals have a clear edge over Chennai Super Kings, winning on four occasions.

The last meeting between the two teams was Chennai Super Kings’ home match at the MA Chidambaram Stadium on April 12, 2023, when Rajasthan Royals won by three runs. 

Rajasthan Royals opened the bat with Jos Buttler (52 runs in 36 balls) and Devdutt Padikkal (38 runs in 26 balls) guided their team to post a fighting total of 175 for eight.

In reply, Chennai Super Kings gave a good fight to Rajasthan courtesy Devon Conway's 50 runs (38 balls), Ajinkya Rahane's 31 runs (19 balls), and skipper MS Dhoni's 32 not out (17 balls), but the team fell three runs short of victory despite scoring 17 runs off the last over.
