However, these purchases can turn out to be a snag for the Orange Army, as they need to find a proper combination among the overseas options to be part of their playing 11.

SRH has already retained some good overseas players, including Aiden Markram, Glenn Phillips, Heinrich Klaasen, Marco Jansen, and Fazalhaq Farooqi. These, combined with their purchases from the auction, have put them in a difficult position as to whom to start and whom to bench.

It is evident from their squad that SRH lacks the crucial position of an Indian wicketkeeper-batsman, and it automatically led to Heinrich Klaasen being picked for that position, leaving only three overseas spots for the remaining players.

Also, the team has gone through a lot of changes in the management, including changes in their head coach as well as their skippers. With replacements coming in the form of Daniel Vettori in place of Brian Lara as head coach and Pat Cummins coming in as the captain replacing Aiden Markram.

Furthermore, SRH has been leaking the most runs in their pace bowling department with Bhuvneshwar Kumar, T Natarajan, and Umran Malik, and these three need to back their game up with support from Cummins this season to make the most of the squad.

SRH has been a shadow of their former selves, and with such a revamp, they can get their glory days back. But it has to be a very calculative approach to who they will start in their playing 11 with such a squad at their disposal.
