Rajasthan Royals Yashasvi Jaiswal scores fastest IPL 50 in 13 balls: Check list of previous record holders

Fastest 50 in IPL: Rajasthan Royals' player Yashasvi Jaiswal has taken the IPL 2023 by the storm as he is the second most run getter in the tournament at present. At the Eden Gardens against hosts Kolkata Knight Riders, he was at his level best as he scored the fastest 50 in IPL in just 13 balls.

He improved the record by a ball as KL Rahul and Pat Cummins, who had hit the 50 in 14 balls, playing for Kings XI Punjab and Kolkata Kngith Riders, respectively.

Jaiswal crushed KKR bowlers mercilessly he raced to his fifty in just 13 balls with three sixes and three boundaries.

While it was the fastest 50 in an IPL match, it was the second-fastest 50 in T20 format.

Ex-India batsman Yuvraj Singh scored the fastest 50 in 12 balls against England in 2007. 

Jaiswal was so fast that when he completed his 50, the team's score was 54 for 1. 

He continued his onslaught after completing his 50 and smashes 98 not out in just 47 balls with five sixes and 12 boundaries.

In just 12 matches of IPL 2023, Jaiswal has 575 runs, just one runs behind the top run gettter, Royal Challenegrs Bnagalore captain, Faf du Plessis.

Jaiswal is also second in the list of the most IPL runs in a season by an uncapped player, behind Shaun Marsh, who scored 616 runs in IPL 2008.

Jaiswal can easily break his record with at least five matches to go.
