Karnataka Elections 2023: Voting underway; take a look at some of the pics
Karnataka Elections 2023: Voting is underway in the Karnataka Assembly elections amid tight security arrangements. According to Election Commission, 8.26 per cent voter turnout was recorded till 9 am. The ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will look to ride on the Modi juggernaut and break the 38-year jinx to return to power. Karnataka has never voted the incumbent party to power since 1985 and BJP will look to change that by retaining its southern citadel.
The counting of votes of the three-pronged contest will be done on May 13, 2023, Saturday.
